Is SOWP still valid even after the submission of PGWP?

Hi, long story short.
My partner has a SOWP that is based on my study permit. I have graduated and submitted an application for PGWP.
I was told that the validity of my partner's SOWP is also based on me being a student, but now, I am no longer a student so my partner would also lose the status and thus not allowed to work.

Is it ture?

The SOWP is valid until the SOWP's expiration date.
