is property valuation certificate is necessary ?

hello everyone .. i have a question that is property valuation certificate is necessary for visa ? i mean to say that i have shown approx 70 laks bank statement on my father's behalf but unfortunately couldn't submit property valuation certificate as was not informed by my consultan .. so last night one of my friend told me about it .. it worried me alot ..so please guys please give me ur valuable advise regarding this as i have filed my visa on 20 feb 2013 but yet didn't received my medical ..

If you are showing a property in your funds then you must submit a property evaluation..
otherwise not
