Is Police Clearance Certificate required to apply for WP & TRV from India?

Hi All,

Is Police & Verification Clearance Certificate required to apply for WP & TRV from India? I didn't submit the same along with my Application since it was not mentioned. If CIC is going ask for it at a later point of time during processing then I don't want my application process to be delayed further.

If it is mandatory to provide PVC & PCC for TRV & WP application then I will apply the same asap. Please advise.

No you don't need a PCC for applying WP & TRV.

You need PCC for applying Work Permit from India. As far as I know whoever has applied, they included the PCC along with the application. So better, send one through now.

I do not see any point taking risk and applying without a PCC. If Immigration ask for it at a later stage, it just waste lot of time. As far as I know whoever applied for the WP they all have submitted PCC along with their applications. If a PCC is not required that means a criminal can easily get inn Canada.
