Is New IELTS supercedes old IELTS result

Hi Guys,

I have appeared for IELTS and scored 6 band ( 12 points ). This result is sufficient for me to claim 67 points as my spouse has bachelor degree (B.Com - 3 yrs) for claiming 4 points.

Now I am planning to appear on 11th Dec-10 for new test to improve my score.

If by chance, my new IELTS score is less than old IELTS score, which score will be considered for me. If it happens , I will continue with the old IELTS result ( which I will be attaching the original result). If VO checks online result, will it affect my IELTS score. Its upto me which result I should use.

Please advise.

Dont worry, your old ielts will be counted as long as it is valid.

If you submit a new score in to CIC , then that will be the score they will use

If VO checks online result, will it affect my IELTS score.

If you have given permission to the VO to do so then obviously yes. As far as i am aware VOs do not have the right to access the IELTS results in that manner
