I am planning on filing for EE 1 year from now, but I don't know if CIC will consider my job as NOC B.
I am working as a Security Technician; that's what it is called in my paystub. Those exact words are not on CIC's website.
My actual job Duties are:
Install and repair IP cameras, card readers, intruder alarm systems, motion sensors, door access systems and all of their other necessary wiring and other components. I also do IP addressing. I also pull the same cable as the one used in installation of Internet.
Almost all of the clients are companies, even big ones like Uber. Not individaul homes.
The following are the duties that I know match for sure:
I inspect and test with tools like multimeter, cable tester.
I adjust, align, replace and repair equipment using schematics, power tools and hand tools
I complete work orders
I am hoping that my job can be considered as NOC 2242 with the job title as Alarm System Technician or Audio-Video service technician.
Question: What do you guys think my current job's NOC code is?
Is there anyone who got PR with technician job?
