So here is the situation:

My husband got his study permit in May end, and he showed his father's bank statement for proof of funds, as his own account did not have enough then.

Based on his study permit, I applied for SOWP in June. I had CAD 10,000 in my account and my parents gifted me CAD 10,000 more a month before I submitted my application. Plus, I showed an authority letter from my parents stating that they can fund me in case I need it while in Canada. I also attached my husband's bank statement which had around CAD 3-4K at the moment. I explained in the Cover Letter that the CAD 10,000 fund transfer is a gift from my parents and the rest is my own savings.

Plus we attached our job experience letters and my employment contracts as well and I was fairly well paid in my job. We have travelled abroad in the past two years for work and leisure and we mentioned that in our letter of explanation as well. We also attached proof of our ties to homeland by showing property papers in my parents' name and husband's parents' name as well as a car in my husband's name. We also wrote in the cover letter that our entire family is here and we plan to return, and we will inherit the property of our parents.

My husband is now in Canada and he recently opened a bank account (a week ago) which has adequate bank balance comprising of our savings. Should I forward his new bank statement to IRCC??
Is my case straight forward or complicated?

Very confused. Would really appreciate some help. :(

Hi,your case is not complicated. It is pretty clear, and easy to understand your situation. You have done a good job to explain your ties to home country and to show the sufficient funds available.

For sure update the IRCC/CIC with your husband's recent account details. It will be positive for your case.

All the best! :)
