Hi, guys. Please help me to clear some doubt. The way I see it, as we submit the ME result as long as other profiles to CIC, they will check the ME result first before they start any substantial processing of our application, for if there is anything wrong with ME results, other work might be a total waste. And generally, ME result is indeed the first update people get after AOR.
However, my Background Check has been "in progress" for 52 days since May 7th and yet the status of my ME result status has frozen in "review in progress" for as long. On June 19, my ECAS changed to "in process" and still no update for ME. Do I need to worry about this strange situation? I checked with my clinic. The results were electronically uploaded on May 5th and there was no red flag at all.
A friend of mine who just got her PPR told me that she read a post here about delayed ME result. It turned out that there was some format error with the uploaded ME result and yet CIC didn't do anything about it until the applicant wrote a formal letter to make an enquiry. I searched the forum but couldn't find the post. If anyone happens to come across it, would you be so kind as to give me the link? I just wanna know when the ME result indeed hasn't checked out yet, will the entire case freeze as I assumed or is it possible that other updates like BC and ECAS will still keep going as in my case?
