Is job bank registration necessary when currently working without a LMIA

I was an international student currently working in Canada on a post grad work permit with 1 yr experience. I recently applied for express entry and got a notification yesterday asking me to register with job bank .

I selected yes when asked asked if I have a job offer in my express entry profile.

I am wondering if this is some kind of system error. Does any had experienced similar issue like this ?

Any help will be appreciated regarding this matter.

Thanks in advance.

I have exact the same situation as you. the system is pretty much contradicting with itself, I am having a full time offer already and ask to register to job bank. big corperation most likely will not do LMIA.

Yes, for people who are already on a job but not LMIA-supported or have PNP (including myself), we will need to register on Job Bank. Doesn't matter whether we want a new job or not.

It does sound ridiculous. Worse is if we want to get LMIA for our current job, we will need to have our employers advertise the job we are doing on Job Bank and elsewhere (part of LMIA requirement), do a job interview and explain why they can't hire a Canadian.

It's tedious but that's the rule as of now.
