Is it worth paying £2000 to have visa organised for you?

My husband is a Carpenter and I am a Finance Manager. We are desperate to immigrate to Vancouver, Calgary or Toronto as soon as possible We have been applying for jobs online for 4 months with no success. We have recently :) contacted a few companies who require a reasonable deposit then do all the hard work for you and only take the remaining payment once you have a visa. Has anyone any experience of these companies and do you think its worth the risk? Getting work while living outside of Canada is proving very difficult even though we both have many years experience and good references.
Thanking you in advance.

Quite a number of these are scams. It's actually illegal to charge money for a job. Be very careful. It's far better to arrange employement directly with the employer and avoid agencies. 2K pounds is a great deal of money and is not a reasonable deposit. I would be worried that you'll never see that money again and will be left with no visa at the end.
