Is it weird?

Hi,

From past 1 week I’m noticing something weird.
Last week a man approached me asking for directions. That place is right across the street. I told him the directions and he went away.

Yesterday at the same location some man seems to be well off approached my spouse asking for a bag of apples.

Today at the same spot one lady approached me asking for some pharmacy. I thought she was genuine and gave her the directions. She dint understand so just showed on Google maps. She thanked me and moved on.

I’m not sure if it’s something to worry because it’s happening at the exact same spot and close to my place since past 1 week.
Is this some type of new scam/robbery?
Is anyone following me? I’m really freaking out!!
I’m not sure what to do?

Are some of these people homeless? Do you live near a shelter for newcomers to Canada? It dies seem weird but all could be totally unrelated. Do you work in a field that deals with sensitive information? Are you from a country where expats can be targets from their home country governments when they leave?

There is no homeless shelter nearby and none of them looked homeless. Hence my worry

ThInk you got to stop being paranoid.
Or if it’s a big city aka Toronto put on your “ don’t bug me face .” No eye contact whatsoever . You choose who you respond to. It’s not mandatory. You’re not a welcome wagon. If a situation feels sketchy to me , I feel no obligation to respond to strangers .
People put themselves into precarious situations because they feel guilty or don’t want to appear to be rude .
I listen to the voice in my head . One time
I was at my parents house . My mother had terminal cancer , in bed . My father was 80. Knock on the door at night . I answered the door . Young girl saying she needed to use the phone to call 911 since her boyfriend was beating her . She was insistent. I’m a big muscular guy . I told her , you ain’t coming into this house . I’ll call the police for you . Lo & behold this couple had been casing out homes with elderly couples , not expecting me to be there . My father would of let her in if I hadn’t been there. And subsequently her boyfriend would have gained access to the house . Listen to your spidey senses.
