Is it true you apply for an LMO and WP at the same time?

Im confused. I read peoples posts saying they applied for there LMO and WP around the same time.
Isnt it two seperate things?

Like you apply for your LMO if its approved you then apply for your WP and it is sent to Paris Embassy for a final decision correct?

We have a lawyer and now im curious to know how the process works.

Can someone explain how that works?

Please, thank you :)

The employer applies for the LMO, when the LMO comes out positive, you then apply for WP. Different offices process the applications.

Thank you for your response.
Would you happen to know how the timeline works for an LMO?

because we are doing our process with a lawyer and he told me this week that he is going to send a fax to the boss for him to sign. So I was wondering when does the boss sign? Is it before the LMO is sent to HRSDC or does the boss sign after HRSDC starts calling the boss?

Let me know if you can because its been 4 days and so far the boss has not received any fax and I was wondering if maybe there is a certain procedure and maybe the lawyer meant that the boss has to sign the LMO but not right away. And that the LMO is sent to HRSDC then the boss is a separate part.

Thank you :)

First off, has the position been advertised with the job bank/another major website?
If yes, have you signed a contract with the boss :)
The boss can sign a form authorizing the lawyer as his representative (this has to be sent with the LMO application.

So as to your question.... the boss signs before the application is sent to HRSDC.

Google the LMO application process.

Hi there,

do you think coming to canada on visitor's visa, and then apply for LMO by employer , followed by work visa..can be done in 6 months time? if not than how do you foresee the time management without loosing valid visa status, assuming lmo is positive..thanks
