I am living/working in Canada now, but I used to work in the US and Germany for more than 6 months.

I plan to register in the Provincial Nomination Program in June 2016, but I am wondering if it is too early to get a US FBI police check now? (As I know it takes about 14 weeks to get the FBI police certificate.) How long does the police certificate valid for? Is it a required document for the PNP?

You'll need it once the application gets to the federal level of processing (i.e. after you have your PNP, and then you are issued an EE ITA).
I wouldn't initiate the process for an FBI PCC now- but I would initiate it in June, once you send your PNP application in.
