Hello Everyone,

I have totally 5 yrs of work experience in IT industry and I would like to migrate to Canada with my family.

I would like to know about the process in this express entry system and Is it safe to go through any overseas consultancy ?

I'm getting calls from so many consultancy like zentora, kansas , pragathi consultancies etc., and they are assuring that they will get me job offer and visa.

Could someone help me with this and Please share your thoughts on this.

Thanks

Hey!

Ok, you'll hear this from a lot of people but, unless you have to, do not go through a consultant. The process is simple and a lot of people here have been scammed.

Read this first: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/express-entry-step-by-step-instructions-t273928.0.html

It's a fantastic overview on what to do.

I agree

All you need is internet connection, some time, good English and a Twinings cup of tea ;)

If someone is assuring you they will get you a job offer - it's a scam.

When I tried calculating my CRS (assumption) it comes around 430., Not sure I will get ITA with this score though I'm working on increasing my score.
I have more than 5 yrs experience in IT System Administration (Windows, Unix& Linux). Want to know whether I will be able to get job

I hope you didn't get a consultant because many people can do it with it and many did it with consultants were not happy about their services.
It is very likely you will get an ITA within the next few rounds. You may start to get some of the documents ready such as PCC and job references. There are lots of info in this forum. Just study it, get ready for it and you will be on your way to Canada soon.;)

430 is more than enough to secure an ITA. Start collecting documents like IELTS score card, education credentials and experience letters.

Thanks for your reply. How about job? how long will take me to get job once I reach there? Or is it possible to get the offer before I start from here( During visa processing)

Well, there is no easy answer to that. The unemployment rate across Canada is at record low but no one can guarantee you a job. You can start your job hunt now but you can only be officially hired when you are a PR. Maybe Spend more time to research about your industry in Canada first.
