Is it really 6 months clause will affect your S-OWP..

Guys please suggest me with the below situation!!!!

As my husband is an international student ...and his studies are going to finish in April'14.

But he has the visa till mar'14 but further he will apply to extend his study permit in JAN'14..

Please suggest me GUYS, as my husband TRV is left for less than 4 months, As there is clause for 6 months trv and i am not eligible to apply now because of 6 months TRV clause of main applicant.

Second i do have option in Jan'14 my husband will apply for extension of his study permit and he will get his study permit Valid till July'14. but his studies will finish in april'14.

Guys please suggest what is the right time for me to apply for S-OWP.

And one main point when he gets his study permit he will get the secured document within 20 to 25 days so on the basis of that ..Can i apply my S-OWP or first he should stamp his passport with TRV from Ottawa then i will be eligible.

Suggest me guys what should i do?

- I do not see any 6-Month Rule on applying for TRV. You can apply anytime for TRV esp if you hold a valid work/study permit and meet the other TRV requirements.

- I believe Study Permit is based on his studies. If his supporting documents says he will finish his studies on April 2014 then likely he will be issued Study Permit only until April 2014 and you can also apply for renewal of your SOWP once his study permit has been issued.

- I believe you can only apply if your husband gets his study permit.

- Even without the TRV as long as he has his Study Permit, you can apply immediately for the SOWP.

thou i hv not personal experince recently hv seen 2 of them gettin their OWP-S approved even thou their own visa is not validity is less than 6 months

I have seen your wife has also applied for SOWP.

What is the timeline and when did u applied ?

and when ur studies are going to finish..
