Is it possible to obtain IMM1000 but leaving Canada shortly after (& returning)?

Hello,
I have received authorization to become a Permanent Resident (Skilled Worker). I will be arriving in Canada in December with the purpose of obtaining my IMM1000. However, I will leave a few days later and plan to move to Canada next spring. My question is: will the fact that I plan to only stay for a few days prevent me from getting the IMM1000?

For those wondering why I am going over just for a few days: this is because the deadline for my becoming a Permanent Resident (Landed Immigrant) is in late January 2016 but I do not wish to move until the spring.

Thank you in advance for any info & advice.

The officer will give you copy of CoPR once landing procedure is complete. But you will be asked for Canadian address where CIC should send PR card. It's better if you will have one. You don't need to mention that you planing to leave in few days and officer will not ask you about this. As Canadian PR you are not restricted in traveling, but you need to meet residency obligations.

Thank you PFSE for your reply!

Indeed, I can provide the officer with a friend's address in Canada for the PR card to be sent there. So, hopefully, all will be well.
