It seems widely spread and confirmed by call center that cic has to give 2 weeks notice before oath but I
just notice an applicant from Montereal who said his ecas was just updated today for oath on 10th oct so less than 2 weeks
Has it happened to someone here to receive less than 2 weeks notice? :
I am asking because there is an oath ceremony in Moncton on 15th oct and I would like to be part of it

I doubt CIC updates ecase on weekends, so his was probably updated Thursday or Friday, which is 2 weeks from oath date.

Then it looks like the system updates on the weekend. I highly doubt officers processing cases actually work on Sundays, so the decision was probably made during the week.

Check if the date the letter was issued is 2 wks from the oath.

Anyway, it's possible. If memory serves me well, I read a post here saying CIC called an applicant and asked if she could attend an oath ceremony the same week because a few applicants had dropped out.

Yes it is possible and you just confirmed it. "widely spread" and "confirmed by call centre" mean nothing.

Flocan
first of all congratulation for your test invite. Can you share your experience of your test when it was and what time. and some insight on the interview and tips if any. in terms of documentation what we need to talk and what they ask.

You might get more replies with a better attitude. Try that.

Re: 2 weeks notice before oath? Please share your experience

Test letter was sent on 21 st august but got aware by checking ecas on sunday 24th aug
Test wss on 11th sep everything went really great
test is not that hard/easy provided you study the guide and understand events
the wording of questions is very different from inline test which makes me thing they want to test your understanding
had 20/20
Interview was great very nice officer she asked basic questions and seemed to know the file
she just checked pr card driving lic and of course passport
didn t ask for more docs
she said everything was fine and that oath would be in approx 3 months
