Hello everyone,
Right now, I'm trying to get as much information as possible about immigrating to Canada. I'm going to get a study visa to get my Master of Science degree in Canada.
From what I have read so far, I can get a temporary work visa for maximum length of 3 years, after my study is finished.
Now, I wanna know what will happen after my 3-years work permit is finished? Can I extend it? How? Is it an easy process and will I have a great chance to stay in Canada permanently?
I would be glad if anyone could answer my question.
Thanks.

All the information about immigration is here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/eligibility.asp

To get a 3 year post grad work permit your course must be 2 years minimum and it cannot be extended or repeated so you would need at some point during that time apply for one of the immigration streams you qualify for. It helps though to get relevant Canada work experience at least a year.

Impossible to say if you have any chance of PR application succeeding you will need to read through the above website options for immigration .

Thanks for reply, but I would be grateful if someone gives me more details about what happens after 3-years post graduate work permit finishes. That is where my research on net fell short!

After 3 years, you will need LMIA to extend your work permit:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=163&top=17

If you can't obtain LMIA, here are options for cases under LMIA exemption category:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/work/opinion/codes.asp

If you applied PR and received AOR, you can apply bridging open work permit.

Thanks,
Is it something that a normal person can be hopeful to obtain?

"You" can't obtain it. It's the potential employer that has to apply for an LMIA.
