is it possible to contest a decision made by the immigration officer?

I asked for the officer notes on an extension of visitor record application that was refused.
After reviewing the notes received, it's clear that there was a mistake. The officer overlooked the information provided in the application and that's the cause of the refused status.
How can I ask for a revision? or contest that decision?
Thank you

You can ask for reconsideration but the burden of proof is on you to explain why the original officer was in error. Why exactly do you think was clearly a mistake?

The notes received indicate that the passport had expired. The passport only expires in about 4 years from now.

You can email the visa office and request reconsideration.

It was done within Canada... where do I find the information about the visa office and contact info?
Thank you!
Just send a case specific inquiry.
