Hello guys

I am just wondering if its okay to send the application for my sister visa and my parent visa?
I am a PR and I will sponsor my mom (supervisa) and my sister tourist visa at the same time (I will sponsor them financially here in Canada and shelter as well)

Yes.

Remember that regardless of any sponsoring, they are the ones that need to prove they can afford the trip.

Yes. My mom has a lot of properties and I think enough money on her account. The problem is my sister
She is now currently living with our parents and she is working in a company in the Philippines. Plus, an internet bill under her name so do you think its better to send also a copy of my parent's properties together with her application to prove that she has a strong ties in my country and just write a letter explaining that she is still saving up money to buy her own property?

So she is not a dependant. Then she has to prove she can afford the trip.

This is irrelevant.

How would your parents properties imply she has any ties at all?

She has to provide financial evidence that shows she can afford the trip. A good steady job with good income. Letter of employment stating her vacation period and good savings (at least 2-3K CAD).

Thanks.

Yes, my sister is not dependant anymore. The plan is to transfer a money from my parents account to her to prove that she has enough money in her account.

We are planning to send this following requirements;
1. 15k UsD in her account
2. Invitation letter from me indicating my 2016 nottice of assessment and I am willing to provide her shelter support and food and needs
3. Car certificate under her name
4. Properties of my parents to prove that she will still coming back to philippines after a couple of weeks
5. Certificate of employment indicating that they will expect her to work after her vacation in Canada.

For my mom Tourist visa (not the supervisa)
1. Properties house/car/business
2. Invitation letter from me
3. 60.k$ USD on her account
4. My T4 and my NoA

Do you think thos will suffice the officer and convinced them?
Thank you

1. 15k UsD in her account good
2. Invitation letter from me indicating my 2016 nottice of assessment and I am willing to provide her shelter support and food and needs with 15k in her bank account this is redundant
3. Car certificate under her name good
4. Properties of my parents to prove that she will still coming back to philippines after a couple of weeks why would you think this helps? This in no way proves that she will be back.
5. Certificate of employment indicating that they will expect her to work after her vacation in Canada. good

4. My T4 and my NoA unnecessary
The whole idea is that they can afford the trip, so the more you send from your side, the weakest her case looks. You should only provide for the three of them a snapshot of your bank account (savings, loans, cheques, credit cards, etc.), an invitation letter, a photo ID and a document that proves your status in Canada.

CIC doesn't like to see sudden deposits in bank accounts. If you are doing large deposits then either do it today and apply in 6 months, or prepare evidence on why was the money deposited, how, when and why. Provide evidence on where the money came from and where it was received. Add an explanation letter that explains the funds transfer.

Hello Forum members, I have a similar situation.
I am planning to apply Visitor Visa for my parents and my elder sister.

My parents are retired and of age70+years. They have necessary assets and documents required for application.
My elder sister 35+ years and is not currently working. So she is not a dependent as per IRCC. She has very minimal amount/assets to show. For her, I am planning to sponsor her trip.
I have a stable job here in Canada and all the necessary required documents for sponsoring her trip.

So shall I submit 1 online application for my Parents+sister; father being the primary applicant here? What are the chances of getting this application approved?
Or shall I submit 2 applications 1 for my parents and another one for my sister? What are the chances of getting this application approved?

Appreciate your response on this.

They are basically the same. She has to prove she can afford the trip. No, your sponsorship DOES NOT waive this requirement.

Thanks Jalex!!!

Approximately how much cash she would need to have in her account to have a good chance to qualify?
Any other things that can improve her chances of getting approved?

At least 6 months of bank statements showing a constant and steady saving towards the trip. Should be 1K per week after accommodations.

A steady job, properties, assets, community involvement (church, voluntary services), enrollment into an education institution, etc.

Hi Jalex & Forum members,
My sister has some amount of cash(approx Cad 10k) in her fixed deposit account. But the account is jointly held(joint account) by my sister and my father.
Can this account be shown for Proof of funds or it won't be considered as it is a joint account?
Does it worth to change this from joint account to sister's name?

Appreciate your responses.
