Hi, good day po.. i'm just new here in this site.
sorry if i didn't get the chance to check all the topics here.
i want to ask please, we just got married last April this year and my data are still using my maiden name.
would it be alright to use my maiden name on our application?
i haven't got the chance to change my passport yet since we still don't have our marriage license with nso certified.
would they still approve it if apply for a spouse using my maiden name?

thanks..
greatly appreciate it if someone can reply to me.

we just got married this april..and hindi pko nkakapg update nang passport ko..
it would take time if mgpa update ako ng passport kac hanggang ngayon wala pa rin marriage certificate namin.
that's one requirement pra mgpa update ng passport..

so i was asking if ok lng ba maiden name ko gamitin nmin when applying?
and sa category, spouse ba dapat? even if maiden name gamit ko?

If you want people to answer your questions you're going to have to post in English. If you're speaking Tagalog, then try posting in the Manila thread.

My wife used her maiden name in the application as it was the name In her passport...
we decide to do so because changing the name in the passport would take forever...
then we used her name as in her passport for all documents...
We got the Passport request just the same week as we finally got the Marriage certificate from NSO,
and Manila Visa Office required that document... so we sent it also...
If we wait for the change of name we would be sending the application just now...
but deciding to use her maiden name save us time...
she probably will get her visa and confirmation of Permanent Residence in September...

I hope that this will help

sorry about that..just to translate.

we just got married this april and I haven't got the chance to update my passport using my new surname.
we haven't received yet our marriage certificate - nso certified.
it's actually the requirement when updating surname in the passport.
i'm still waiting for our marriage cert and seems it would take more months.

so i was asking if it would be fine to use my maiden name when applying as a principal applicant?
and under the category when applying, would it be spouse? even if im using my maiden name on the application?

thanks.
sorry for the confusion

Yes, you can use your maiden name. If, between now and the PR being approved you change to your married name and update your passport, then you will just send a photocopy of your passport with your married name to show that it has been changed.
