hello everyone...

I want to apply for FSW immigration in the category for general physicians, I have one year of work experience in my field which i had after completing my mbbs education. i have performed all the duties stated in the description of the category. and i qualify with 72 points can someone tell me that do i really need to take a lawyer or else can i do it on my own. What are the essentials to be done in an application apart from the documentation that is listed i mean the cover letters and everything....pls share.

It is not necessary to take a consultant. You can do it yourself and this forum will serve like you consultant.

thanks for replying did you take a lawyer or you did it yourself ...
I did it myself with the help of the forum. Despite the delay i think all is fine so far on my side. Well, it all depends on you. If you choose to take a consultant then fine. But to tell you the truth i have been here for sometime and many of those who took a consultant use to cancel their agreement.

So think about it carefully.

I agree with canadaforall.

I would strongly advise against using an immigration lawyer or consultant because:

a) It is much cheaper to do it yourself - to the tune of several thousand dollars

b) Having a representative will introduce delays to your application. If they are a good lawyer, the delays will be small. If they are poor, the delays can be large. But having an intermediary between yourselves and CIC is bound to add delays.

c) Depending on how good your lawyer is, your entire application could fail based on their mistakes. Many lawyers out there are money-grabbing crooks. There are, to be fair, probably some good ones out there. But how to know the difference?

So, unless you have a particularly complex case - I would save yourself time, money and hassle and do everything yourself. There is nothing you cannot find out just by using forums such as this, for your whole application process.

Best of luck,
Wayne.
