Is it neccessary to have IELTS score for applying skilled worker visa?

I am little bit confused about this.So please clarify my doubt about this that whether we to obtain ielts score for skilled worker visa.

IELTS is not mandatory requirement at the time of initial application( CIO, NS), but u need to submit it (to local CHC) after document request.

I believe there's a new rule that makes IELTS compulsory? I think you should play it safe and include IELTS scores while sending full docs to local visa office.

New rule will be applicable after 10 April 2010

You do not need to have your IELTS score at the time of filing your application. When they give you your file number they will ask you for your score amongst other documents. You will have 120days to submit. If you wait till then you are cutting it close. There are lots of people waiting to sit their IELTS exams so there is a possibility that you will not get the date you need. Why complicate things unnecessarly.
