Is it mandatry to change the passport for spouse after marriage

Hi guys I am planning to file a spousal application, by my spouse's passport is old with the older address, is it mandatory for her to change the passport with the change in marital status and address ?

Not necessarily, if her passport is not expired then you can use that as her primary ID but if it is expired then renew it with marital status and address change.
