Is it easy for CIC to map our FBI report to our case ?

Hi all,

I have everything ready to send it to CIC after my AINP nomination except FBI report. If i am sending my application with other documents and fees without FBI report will this lead to delay in processing ?

In the first instance, will CIC keep working on my application before it receive FBI report from me and issue me some file number, so that later when i send FBI, i can send using the file number it issued or CIC will only issue files number only when it receive all documents ?

Please advice on this so that i can decide to send the application with FBI for now or wait for FBI report.

There are not very many precedents here. Many of us have sent with FBI certificate as there was ample time (6months) before the prov nomination certificate expires. If you are too close to the end of this 6 month window, then you may want to send without FBI cert. And do not send that certificate until AOR and they ask for the certificate. You will have a timing issue then as well :-( This is only my $ 0.02, based on info that I've gathered from various posts - the onus and decision is of course on you.

Thanks for sharing this info...My situation is nomination will expire on 31-May-2010.

I applied for FBI on Feb 10th 2010 and they charged my credit card on 30-Mar-2010. I am not sure how long more FBI will take. May be i can still wait for it until end of this month.

Advice on what would be best option in this situation.

Best would be to send with FBI...but I sent it without FBI because my other state PCC would have expired by the time i get FBI...
so i just sent without FBI...know one knows what CIC think...but I am hoping that at least they can't just reject based on you dont have FBI report...because already one province have nominated you..but they should give some extra time to get FBI..

I had hired a immigration lawyer and he told me , they will just return your application to resubmit with full documentation.

So you have no choice but wait for it.

Can anyone give a true timeline to how long the Fbi is actually talking these days , cos if you write to them they have a standard reply.

Also anyone who has applied to the Delhi consulate already who can give a timeline on second part of the process.

I applied for FBI on 12th-Feb and i received it on 23-Apr-2010. Close to 10 weeks

I applied for FBI on 24th of Jan. and got my report on 23rd of March. However in some cases they are taking more time why I don't know.

CIC won't return your application solely because you're missing the FBI PCC. They might request that in the future, but won't deny your application. If you're able to send them all at one time, great! But don't wait too long, especially if your nomination or other PCC's are about to expire.

I am also on the same boat, Apr 25th 2010 i applied for FBI Certificate, can i send my documents with out FBI. Please let me know what are the documents i need to send to CIC Buffalo, i got SNIP Certificate
