Is it difficult to get a visa if you are under security checking?

It’s 9th week, our processing time is 11 weeks.
My Spouse called IRCC to ask SOWP status yesterday.
My wife:
has my application been security background check? I want to know the status of my application.
IRCC:
criminality has been passed,
security check has not started yet.
My wife:
Will my application been security background check?
IRCC:
it will be when they are need to check that
they will.
At that moment, they havent started yet. they
will check later.

I don’t know whether we will be security check.
