Is it advisable to apply study visa through consultancy ?

I will be getting my ielts results in a week and I'm already looking at Centennial College for sept intake, but looking at cumbersome process of visa for study and also IMM 5818 which clearly mentions if I fails to mention agent or representative who assisted me with admission form and study permit applications it could negatively affect my study permit application , What negative implications could possibly be?

The form is optional. You dont need to complete if you dont take any agent help. It is only to be completed by the agents. Go directly to centennial site and apply and wait for the offer.

Thank you for your reply, but I reckon there was misunderstanding, I was talking about form on the study permit page on Canada under the application package for Indian applicants.
Correct me if I'm wrong

If you dont use a rep/agent then just write NA - not applicable there.
