For about the 100th time NO. If it isn't on the Document Check list, you don't submit it.

yes you can submit the initial application without appearing in ielts.

if you have not appeared in ielts at the time of sending appication to CIO, then of course you will tick No. after the approval from CIO, you will sit ielts. and when sending the application to your local CHC, you will tick Yes. hope its clear.

You don't need to provide with written evidence.

You can either provide with written evidence or take the IELTS and submit your results later on after sending your initial application.

But, if you decide to send in a written evidence of your Language proficiency, then the Visa Officer will make a decision based on the written submission and you would not stand a chance to submit your IELTS score.

2. I want to attend IELTS exam later and send results at 2nd stage. Do you think it will work if we have given explanation that we will be attending exam soon and sending results in 2nd stage. (I need 8 points to qualify for language)

1. According to the manual based on the level you tick in the form (as much as you need to achieve number of total points).
2. I would certainly need IELTS certificate before the 120 days to submit all documents expire. Here you should consider that Sidney may review very fast - 1-2 months. And you might need to book in advance IELTS test date and the certificate issued after a few weeks.
