Is ghost update always positive or it may mean a negative change?

I am wondering if a ghost update absolutely always means a positive change to the account (some parts of BGC completed or PPR) or it can also mean negative updates to the case?

It means that there is some movement on your application... which is usually considered +ve. I have not seen atleast on the forum any -ve results about it

Did you eventually get PPR ?
I also got ghost update last week and was feeling positive initially.
Now started getting doubts if it yields positive outcome ?
Please let me know your current appn status..
