Hi all,
I'm about to mail my CEC application when I realize that in document checklist, family registry is required, if applicable. I'm from Indonesia and we do have family registry, so I guess that's applicable to me.
I have my family registry with me under my dad's name, but there are a few problems with it. I'm still single. I have 3 other siblings who are all married, but the registry still says that they're still single. This is because my siblings live in a different city than my parents so they haven't got a chance to update the registry.
My brother's name is missing from the registry. Now that he's married, he has his own family registry. I can submit his registry as well if that's necessary. I have 2 other sisters, but only one of them have an updated family registry. The other sister doesn't yet have a family registry for her family.
Now my questions are:
1. Do I really need to submit all of my siblings' family registries, on top of my parents' registry? If yes, would it be ok if I'm missing one of my sister's family registry? As a note, I will need to translate and certify all of these documents. I'm wondering how important this family registry is to the Visa officer.
2. I currently live in Vancouver, BC. Which visa office should I write down to process my application? From the list of offices in Canada (sorry i don't have the permission to post the link here), it seems like only Buffalo office can process CEC (indicated by the column "Applications for Permanent Resident Visas"). I want to choose Seattle since it's closer to Vancouver in case I need to have an interview, but is the Seattle office one of the possible choices?
Thanks for your answers.
Hopefully somebody can shed some lights soon as I'm tight in time (post-grad work permit expires in June next year).
