Hello Seniors,

I want to check, if I need to have ECA for a work permit or PR if I have a Job offer and LMIA with more than 6 years of work experience in the same field.

I dont have formal education from a university or college, but I do have numerous professional certifications.

Please advice.

Thanks in advance.

If you don't have canadian education, you'll have to assess it through an ECA.
Thank you for your prompt reply, but like I said, I don’t have any formal education from a college or university, even from outside Canada.

Can I still apply for a PR without ECA?

Thank you for the help :)
No problem. :)

I would suggest that you also check your eligibility and simulate your profile using those online tools provided by IRCC because you may not have enough CRS points to receive an ITA. I filled a brief simulation here with high school as education and the CRS was around 325 even with a job offer. For reference, last round of invitations had a cut-off of 441. So, you'll probably need at least a college degree or something like that.

Thanks again, I am evaluating my options now. I guess making my spouse as the primary applicant can get me higher a CRS rank.

However, I might have to apply for a work permit separately in that case?

It seems to be the best scenario for you.
