Is ECA mandatory to work on Open work permit ?

I have 3 year bachelors degree from India and I will be going to Canada on spouse open work permit. Do I need to get an ECA done for my Indian degree for getting acceptance with Canadian employers for a job or can I just show my degree for getting a job?

No you don’t need an ECA for jobs. Assume you are travelling with your wife.

Thanks for the reply! Yes will be traveling with my wife . So once I land in Canada I can get jobs by just showing my Indian Degree? How does that work , please advice

You apply for jobs and they will to see completion of program. Few would ask for transcripts. If for restaurant/retail jobs then they will not care.
