Is connecting flight possible before 3-day hotel quarantine?

If travelling to Toronto via Montreal (connecting flight), will the 3-day quarantine hotel become mandatory in Montreal? Is it possible to just complete the remaining quarantine in Montreal, and if so will it a further 11 days?

You quarantine at your first POE, so Montreal. Then after 3 days you can get your connecting flight to Toronto. You quarantine for the 11 days in Toronto.

My flight is 1st week of July, I don't mind doing quarantine in Montreal, the housing is slightly cheaper compared to Toronto. The funny thing is flight is cheaper london-montreal-toronto than london-montreal

The school is obligated to report you if you fail to be properly enrolled. Beyond that, if the courses are online (and permitted to be online with some of the new exemptions), they won’t know if you are in Ontario.
