is Burlington ontario a good place for a newcomer to live?

I recently migrated and im now living in Canada as a permanent resident.I'm currently living in Burlington,Ontario.Is it a good place for a newcomer to live in terms of close shopping areas and nearby colleges or colleges around nearby areas to it and other places.Also in terms of cost of living is it affordable for a newcomer?

You may be having issues getting an answer as you are asking about a place you already live in...what is your experience so far? Does the area you live in meet your requirements? Do you work, are you in school, do you drive etc...this will assist in getting some answers. You will also be better off posting in the settlement section of the forum.
