Is birth Certificate required if I don't have children?

Hello,

I'm applying under OINP / Skilled Worker program and I'm married.

I was reading on CIC website and they mentioned that the both certificate is required to prove dependency of children. This is an extract from CIC website:


Copy of birth certificate or other equivalent document
Purpose
To prove the dependent children’s relationship to the parents


So my question, since I don't have children, I'm not asked to provide birth certificate right?

Birth certificates are required only for dependent children. You and your spouse do not require to submit birth certificates.
