Hi, I sent my birth certificate original and copy to CIC upon submitting my application. Now I am about to do landing, on Buffalo website it says it may ask you. What happen I couldn't provide? Will I get refused because of this? Thanks.
Is birth certificate a must during landing?

No Jason, I don't think so it is must but what everyoen would tell you is that it is good to keep all the doceuments with you so if they ask you for anything you would have it handy but i don't see them asking for birth certificate in particular.
But why did you send them the original one? You don't need to send original? And you need it for alot of things as a proof for your country of birth and as an identity..... So, what are you going to do if you need your birth certificate for something in future? Sure you can get a new one, but looks like a bit of pain!

No, I mean the original one is just a certified copy which translated form Chinese to English. The time I sent them my birth certificate I am not sure they want original certified one or copy one, so I sent both.
It's not a big deal. Anyway, I will give it a try to landing without birth certificate. It takes a bit time to certify another one and send to me from back home.
