is biometrics required for already issued visitor visa

Hi All,

My father has his visitor visa issued in 2016. He is planning to travel this week. Now I am not sure if he require to provide biometrics. If yes, how and when he can provide the the biometrics?

He is in Hyderabd, India.
Please help as he is travelling this week. All the tickets are booked!!

The reason you can't find any info by CIC is because it's not required for visitors.

As you can see on this tool, none of the selections includes visiting Canada:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/biometrics.asp

Biometrics are only required for VISA APPLICANTS. Your father is NOT a VISA APPLICANT because he already HAS A VISA. He will only worry about it NEXT TIME HE APPLIES FOR A NEW VISA because the rule was only instituted for all visa APPLICANTS beginning in 2019.
