I have a closed work permit in Canada and we've applied for my spouse, a Filipino citizen, to get an open work permit to join me. We did this in July of last year. The CIC website states processing times for temp work permits to be 7 months. Its just gone over 7 months.
I'm wondering if anyone has experience or advice on how often an application goes well past the stated processing times, and if I should be looking at a different set of processing times. Perhaps the processing time for a spousal application work permit? I'm unsure.
Does anyone think that the issues with Typhoon Yolanda will push everything back?
