Hi guys
I am on a study permit. My son is on study permit too, and he is 17 years old. I am wondering if he is allowed to work . The Remarks on his study permit do not mention if he may or may not accept employment.

If he is attending high school, then he is not allowed to work.

To be allowed to work, he must be studying at the post secondary level (e.g. college or university) and have a new independent study permit for these studies (which will involve paying international student fees). This study permit will indicate he is eligible to work.
