Is A Canadian Common-Law Partner a Dependant?

Hi All,

I'm applying under family sponsorship - my common-law partner is Canadian. When filling out my IMM008 do I need to declare her as a dependant? Is says to include your common-law partner but she is already a Canadian Citizen so I am not sure.

Please help!

No, you do not. She is your sponsor and will not be included in your part of the application.
