IRISH and Need extention

Hey all,
I am from Ireland and in Canada on a holiday visa, i did not need to apply for a visitor visa. However my visa was stamped tilll the 31st of dec 13 and i wish to stay longer. Can i apply for an extension? And for how long can i apply for it for?? really need some urgent answers.. thanks...

2. Depends on the reason, your funds on how long or if the extension will be issued.
