Hello
I am doing an inland sponsorship that was received Jan 26 2022. After that point, my wife that I am sponsoring got pregnant and the extension of the OWP did not come right away. Also, her OHIP coverage was going to expire and we need to get the extension. We were able to get those and my baby was born back in October. The issue is that before we were able to have her OHIP extended, we contacted the IRCC via the web form saying that we are retracting the application as we decided back then that she will go home to give birth and do an out land. This is before the OHIP renewal. After 3 weeks I received an email that I did the web form wrong and that If I want to do a retraction/cancellation, to write up a letter and sign it. Since we are going forward with the application, I did not do anything as we thought that it was done incorrectly in the first place that we can just do nothing and the application should be processed like nothing happened.
I just now received a letter that I only have 30 days to let the IRCC if I want to continue or cancel and if they do not hear back from me, the will process the cancellation. Now, this makes it hard as I cannot link my paper application online. It keeps on saying that they cannot locate the application. I can see the updates on the new tracker they created so not sure why I cannot link it. The 2nd option was to use the web form and the first thought is that Oh my God. I hate using that thing as it is very out dated and I will not hear back if I did it correctly or incorrectly after the deadline has passed as they are very slow.
I need to know what they really need. The first one was the application information, do I need to put my information on it or my wife. I always put my wife's name as she is the primary applicant. I then put mine on the enquirer information part. Also, toward the end, it asks for birth date. Do I put mine or her's?
I tried to call the IRCC but it just said that they are too busy and to try again later. This is so frustrating that when the webform come back saying there was an error, they do not even specify what was wrong on it.
