I completed two years of study in Canada from January 2022 to August 2023, which made me eligible for a three-year work permit valid until October 2026. However, due to an error in my initial application, I was granted a permit valid only until October 2024. I applied for an extension in January 2024, and today I received an update stating:
"This refers to your application for a Post-Graduation Work Permit received 01/12/2024. No action is being taken to process your request for the following reasons:
Your application has been withdrawn as it is no longer required.
NOTE: Passports must be valid for the duration of your stay in Canada. Documents will not be issued beyond the validity of passports."
My passport is valid until 2028, the work permit I requested is only valid until 2026.
What steps should I take in this situation? How can I contact IRCC to address this issue?
