I know there are a few threads already but asking in case things have changed.

Has anyone used Canada Post's mail forwarding for citizenship correspondence in case they have moved? It's possible I may move in next 6 months or so since I am planning to switch jobs & actively interviewing.

Moreover, how much time does it time to change the address on file after doing it online in case mail forwarding is not an option?

Online address changes (only possible if you are within Canada) take up to two weeks. And when I did it, it definitely did take 1-2 weeks.
If you gave them an email, you will very likely get AoR, FP, Test and maybe Oath via email.

Can't speak to forwarding.

Note that if you are planing on moving a long way (say Victoria to St Johns) I don't believe changing your address changes the processing office. Clearly having to travel between these two cities for Test/Interview/Oath would be somewhat expensive.

I will definitely make sure to give an email on my application. Did you do the address change before or after the move?

I asked because one of my friends got his Oath letter via regular mail & Canada Post delivered it late. Not sure if he gave an email address on the application.

Anyone know if we can give comminication address as PO box address? I hope they dont have any issues sending the communication to po box addresses just like they did for pr(and pr card). Any one you have heard of using po box communication address for citizenship application?

I personally did an address change as soon as I got AoR (which got stuck in spam) because the address they had for me was not the one I sent on my application but my lawyers address from PR almost three years previously.

My oath was via regular mail but I got it in time. I checked ECAS at least once a week (strongly recommend) so was aware of the ceremony and got IRCC to send me an email backup in case it didn't arrive.

I don't recall anything about PO Boxes but I have to assume it's okay as I personally know people in remote areas of the country who only get mail via a PO Box as Canada Post doesn't deliver to their houses.

Ok. Perfect. Thanks.
