IRCC call.. medical and criminality info

I called IRCC through my Canadian friend and he informed me two things he got from the agent he talked to...

1. They don't extend medical for applicants outside of canada.
2. criminality may be expired.

So my question is,
how true this information is? No one outside of Canada got extension for medical exam?
and if criminality expires, does that mean I have to get new PCC after a year?

Ummm.... do not take information given by call center folks as authentic. They make mistakes or misunderstand things.

I'm more surprised that they were able to get application specific information, given that IORCC has focused the call center on the Afghan situation for the last few months
