Hello Everyone..

This is the link to IRB's published annual statistics for refugee claims referred to IRB as per the country of origin:

https://www.irb-cisr.gc.ca/en/statistics/protection/Pages/index.aspx

For example, if we see the 2025 page here:

https://www.irb-cisr.gc.ca/en/statistics/protection/Pages/RPDStat2025.aspx

Let's take refugee claims from Albania for example:

Accepted: 28, Rejected: 0, Abandoned: 0, Withdrawn and Others: 0.... Then: Total: 53.

There are 25 claims included in the Total but not shown under any of the above categories.

Can anyone help answer this question. These 25 'hidden' claims added to the total, are these accepted? rejected?

Thank you.

it could be in process

If a claim is in process, it should logically appear under (Pending as of../../....)

If these 25 claims (again, the example of Albania) are already processed, why aren't they classified under Accepted, Rejected, Abandoned, Withdrawn and Others?

Almost in every country of persecution, these 'hidden' figures are added to the Total.

Can anyone please explain?

Thank you.
