Hello, I am planning to invite my son from the Philippines to visit us here in Victoria, BC.... Can I just scan the requirements needed from me and send it to him together with the invitation letter? or do I need to mail it to him... (He will be applying online)?

There is nothing stopping you from scanning, nothing wrong. Regardless just to make your application more formal I would mail originals.
