inviting brother/sister on visa

Hi, is it possible to invite my brother to visit me in Canada?
I have my parents come on regular visit visa quite often here, but i never tried to make visa for my brother. Just wondering if its possible?

I own a home here in canada and hold a canadian citizenship. My brother has a family and job in his home country, he has no intentions or desires to move to canada permanently, just for visit.

Would appreciate any pointers from someone who had it done for their siblings.

You can invite anyone you like. Why would you think your brother would be any different than e.g you parents?

I guess I always thought that it would be much easier to apply and get a visa for parents. I think that CIC always looks at brothers or sisters as not a close relative and doesn't "like" to approve these cases as much as visas for parents.

I will give it a try in a couple months, will see what they decide.

From that perspective all family members are treated the same by CIC. Take your parent's experience as a starting point for gathering documents.
