there are many examples of invitation letter online. you can simply write your name and your ID number, saying that you are inviting your friend and his passport number.

mention the dates that he will be coming. if he is staying with u, also state that.

this needs to come with a scan of your ID and also a proof of your address if ur friend is staying with you.

dont forget to tell them that you would like to show your friend canada! rly sell on canada tourism!

However, Invitation letter alone wouldn't guarantee a visitor visa - ensure that you/your friend meet other criteria too.
