Hi,
I am based in India working for a Canadian client in an Indian company. I got an invitation from the client requesting me to visit toronto next month. I also have a letter from my company saying that they will take care of all the expenses for the trip. I also have a B1 visa for US stamped on my passport recently. As per the checklist, i need to send the following documents
1) Application form
2) Travel Itinerary ( i haven't bought the ticket yet. So what document should i submit)
3) Family Information
4) Purpose of travel - Other
5) Passport of travel
6) Digital Photo
7) Travel History ( what document should i mention to show the travel history)
8) Invitation letter.

What extra documents should i submit to the consulate. i have to bundle the documents and put it in the drop box as we dont have a consulate in my city (Hyderabad, India).

I would really appreciate if someone can help me with this problem. i am not sure what extra documents should i be submitting along with the check list documents??

Travel Itinerary: You can submit “proposed route” as stated in the application. However, it is strongly recommended that you have a return ticket. If a company is inviting you to Canada, I assume they are willing to pay for your airfare.

Travel History: You should submit photocopies of the pages of your passports showing visa stamps, entry stamps, exit stamps, etc. Every time you to go another country whether visa is required or not, they stamp your passport at the airport for entry and exit.

Extra documents can include “Letter of Explanation”. This is where you can tell CIC how long you have been working for this company, what you would be doing for the company while you are in Canada, etc.

The bottom line is, you must show proof that you will leave Canada by the end of your visitor visa deadline. Good proof would be if you own a home in your country, you can submit copies of the home ownership. It doesn't have to be just home ownership, it can be anything you own and any responsibilities you have. Some people on this forum mentioned sending their electric bills as part of the documents to demonstrate they have responsibilities to go back to.

Submit as much "proof" as possible and place them in a logical order. Good luck.
