Intra Company Transfer Processing time from US to Canada

Hi,
I am an Indian citizen currently working in United States. My Company is transferring me to their Canadian office under ICT program as a Specialized Knowledge. (Submitted to Canadian embassy in US)

My company submitted my and my wife's Open work permit on October 7th. We haven't heard anything back from consulate and our Lawyers sent us screen shots of our online application which just says "Open" but all other documents are "Not required at this time" and Final Decision is "Not started".

What does that usually mean?

How long should I expect for it to process?

When I applied the avg processing times at US consulate were 9 weeks. I have heard from few people that they got responses quite early, like in a month or so.

Any ideas and experiences would be appreciated.

My case is very similar like you.

I am an Indian Citizen currently in United States working for an Indian MNC (on H1B supporting a US Based Client).

Now my question is, if my company does an Intra-Company Transfer and transfers me to their branch in Canada , can I continue to support the same US based client from Canada?(Just as anyone could do if one went back to India).

Could you please let me know if you have such an experience.It is extremely vital and would be really helpful for me to know this .

Did you guys get your ICT work permit? If yes, what was the timeline. I am in the same boat as you are and your responses can help in planning for next few months
